WHAT IS SOUND THERAPY?
Sound healing is non-evasive, nonreligious and free of side effects. The sound and vibration produced by the Himalayan singing bowls are able to reach deeply into our body to restore balance and harmony at the cellular level. HOW DOES IT WORK?
In a personal sound healing session, seven or more large Himalayan singing bowls are placed around the client's body in specific format and alignment. Shortly after sounding the singing bowls in sequence, the client will experience alpha brainwaves and deep breathing patterns which bring about deep relaxation and inner peace. The singing bowl will also be used on various reflex points. The physical vibration of the singing bowl travels through the meridian network of the body, removing dis-ease and blockages.
I work with Full Moon Bowls. They are hand made from 7 metals (gold, mercury, iron, lead, tin, silver and copper) with correspond to 7 planets therefore you could look at it in a sense that the bowls are filled with the highest form of cosmic energy. Each bowl is tuned to chime a specific note and frequency which is also related to the Chakras.
WHAT IS ART THERAPY?
Research has shown that memories of trauma are not stored explicitly, but implicitly (indirectly) in iconic, symbolic and sensory forms.
When such memory cannot be expressed in language (as is the case for many young people), it remains stored at a symbolic level, with no words to describe it, only sensations and fragments of images.
Creative Arts Therapy provides a flexible, effective, evidence-based toolbox where the therapies are used individually or in combination with one or more other therapies, to provide a process of self-expression, self-development, selfunderstanding, self-empowerment and healthy self-image.
